The general norm for 5G speed is 100 Mbps, while actual speeds may differ.

There is general agreement that 4G speeds fall between 60 and 70 Mbps.

Earlier, Ashwini Vaishnaw, the minister of electronics and information technology, had said that India is preparing for the launch of 5G services by October.
